      • TLN07 - SecurDive: Turning Emergency Alerts into Coordinated Maritime Rescue

          • In nautical and diving emergencies, every minute matters — but the first alert is often incomplete, fragmented or difficult to exploit. A victim may be at sea, underwater, on a boat, in shock, unable to describe their location precisely or to explain key medical and operational information. At the same time, several actors may need to coordinate quickly: emergency call centers, maritime rescue services, medical regulation, hyperbaric centers, firefighters, lifeboat crews and field responders. SecurDive aims to solve this gap by transforming an emergency alert into structured, geolocated and actionable data that can be shared with the right services at the right time. The challenge is to build a digital bridge between victims, witnesses, operators and rescue teams, without replacing existing emergency procedures, but by making them clearer, faster and more coordinated. We are looking for teammates who want to work on a meaningful, field-driven innovation at the crossroads of emergency response, maritime safety, health, data, UX, AI and interoperability. The mission is ambitious: design a trusted tool capable of improving how nautical and diving-related emergencies are reported, understood and coordinated.

          • What the challenge owner would like to develop over 48h
          • Over 48 hours, I would like to develop a functional prototype of SecurDive focused on the first digital emergency alert workflow.

            I have already created a first non-functional mock-up of the concept, which helps visualize the user journey and the operator dashboard. However, this first version does not yet include a database, real interactions, live data flow or functional connection between the different interfaces.

            The goal during the 48 hours would be to move from this static mock-up to a more operational MVP with two connected interfaces:

            A mobile alert interface for a victim, witness, diver, skipper or boat user, allowing them to send a structured SOS with geolocation, incident type, key medical information, diving/nautical context, photos or basic situational data.

            An operator dashboard for emergency coordination, displaying the alert in real time with a map, GPS position, timeline, victim profile, risk indicators, suggested emergency pathway and the information needed to support coordination between maritime rescue, medical regulation, firefighters, lifeboat crews and hyperbaric centers.

            The 48-hour objective is not to build the final product, but to create a convincing MVP demonstrating how SecurDive can transform a simple SOS into structured, geolocated and actionable data for faster and clearer rescue coordination.
          • Which skills the challenge owner is looking for
          • The essential skills for the team are:

            - Software / IT developer — to build the functional prototype, connect the mobile alert interface with the operator dashboard, and structure the first database.
            - UX/UI designer — to create a clear, simple and stress-proof user journey for victims, witnesses, boat users and emergency operators.
            - Data / AI specialist — to help structure emergency data, prioritize key information and explore decision-support features.
            - Geomatics / mapping specialist — to work on geolocation, maps, maritime positioning, routes and operational visualization.
            - Emergency response / maritime safety expert — to ensure that the solution remains realistic, useful and aligned with field constraints.
            - Health / hyperbaric medicine profile — to help identify the relevant medical and diving-related information needed in case of a diving accident.
            - Business / strategy profile — to support the value proposition, stakeholder mapping, partnerships and future deployment model.
