CEREMA, a multidisciplinary scientific and technical centre of expertise, supports the development, implementation, and evaluation of public policies in areas such as urban planning, risk prevention, territorial cohesion, energy transition, resource conservation, and road and maritime safety.

The European Marine Biological Resource Centre (EMBRC) was established in 2013 to advance fundamental and applied marine biology and ecology research – while promoting the sustainable blue economy. This is achieved by enabling access to services, facilities, and technology platforms in more than 80 marine stations in 10 European countries in support of robust, cost-effective and efficient marine research. Launched in summer 2021, EMBRC’s new project, European Marine Omics Biodiversity Observation Network (EMO BON), aims to enhance the European contribution to global genomic observation efforts. As such, EMO BON will fill current gaps in biological observation, while offering insights into the genetic composition of marine biodiversity.

The International Hydrographic Organization (IHO) is an intergovernmental organization established in 1921, bringing together 100+ Member States to ensure the world's seas, oceans and navigable waters are surveyed, charted and understood. From safe navigation to marine resource management, climate monitoring and maritime trade, hydrographic data underpins virtually every human activity at sea. As a 2026 Ocean Hackathon® Ambassador, the IHO brings to the challenge its global network, its open standards, and its commitment to making ocean knowledge accessible to all.

Mercator Ocean International has been appointed as an ambassador for the Copernicus Marine Service. As a non-profit organization, Mercator Ocean International focuses on providing ocean science-based services aimed at conserving and sustainably utilizing oceans, seas, and marine resources. The organization implements the Copernicus Marine Environment Monitoring Service as part of the European Earth Observation program Copernicus.

The Copernicus Marine Service is dedicated to ocean observation, monitoring, and forecasting. It offers free, open, regular, and systematic reference information on the physical (blue), sea ice (white), and biogeochemical (green) state, variability, and dynamics of the global ocean and European regional seas.

The Shom, which traces its origins to the world's first official hydrographic service in 1720, operates as a public administrative establishment under the supervision of the French Ministry of the Armed Forces. It serves as the primary operator for maritime and coastal geographic information in France.
