Last October 16-18, teams from cities around the world collaborated over 48 hours to design solutions for ocean challenges and create innovative prototypes using marine and maritime data.
The local events took place simultanousely in 11 cities across the globe and in total, 56 challenges were tackled by mulitdisciplinary teams.
Join us in person at Oceanopolis, Port de Plaisance du Moulin Blanc, Brest, France or remotely on live on YouTube.

Coming from all four corners of the globe, they will represent Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Chennai (India), Galle (Sri Lanka), Toulon (France), Olhão (Portugal), Brest (France), Cork (Ireland), Peniche (Portugal), Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Spain), Salvador (Brazil) and Victoria (Canada). So many different cultures, backgrounds and areas of expertise, brought together by a shared vision: harnessing data, innovation and creativity to help preserve the ocean.
Each team will have a few minutes to pitch their project to an international jury. This jury of Ocean Hackathon® ambassadors, along with a representative from each organising city, will award points and the top three teams with the highest scores will be our 2026 winners!
Come join us and discover the international innovations for a more sustainable ocean.
