ACT Local (Bahian Reality): In the heart of the Bay of All Saints, century-old communities of shellfish gatherers from Ilha de Maré, Paramana, and artisanal fishers from the Subúrbio Ferroviário face a double blackout: climate change is making tides unpredictable; and middleman chains devalue their work, generating food insecurity. High-end gastronomy profits, while the base of the chain lacks proper recognition.
