Who organises the local edition in Kuala Lumpur?

The Kuala Lumpur edition of Ocean Hackathon is jointly organised by the Embassy of France in Malaysia and the Centre for Marine and Coastal Studies (CEMACS), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), with the support of local academic, industry, and institutional partners.

The Embassy of France in Malaysia coordinates Malaysia's participation within the global Ocean Hackathon network, while CEMACS serves as the official Host University for the 2026 edition, leading the local organisation and scientific programme.

Together with challenge owners, mentors, sponsors, and ecosystem partners, the organising team aims to create a collaborative environment where participants can develop innovative solutions to marine and coastal challenges over an intensive 48-hour hackathon.
