      • SPL04: Create a Local Marine Biodiversity Snapshot

          • This 48-hour marine-based experience investigates how rising sea temperatures are impacting biodiversity, shifting species distribution, and contributing to the rise of invasive species such as blue crab, squid, and non-native fish. Participants will learn, observe, and co-create solutions to protect the marine ecosystem and promote sustainable coastal living.

          • What the challenge owner would like to develop over 48h
          • Work with students or participants to document current marine species (especially fish, squid, and crabs) found in our local waters. Identify invasive species (like blue crab or alien squid) and investigate how their presence relates to rising sea temperatures. Produce a visual species map or interactive chart showing changes over time
          • Which skills the challenge owner is looking for
          • IT developer, marine biologist, local fisherman, sea lover...
