The aim of our challenge is to highlight two issues. The emergence of new contaminants that persist in our oceans, and being able to predict their behavior with the means at our disposal. POPs are problematic molecules because they are persistent, bioaccumulative, toxic and highly mobile. The difficulty lies in obtaining and updating information in real time. The aim is to use an emerging tool - artificial intelligence - to anticipate the behavior of molecules that are harmful to living organisms, both human and marine. The technique involves calibrating a system aided by artificial intelligence, based on feedback, to estimate the dynamics of POPs in the marine environment.
