The National Monitoring Sea Level Service is part of the Geophysics Institute of the National Autonomous University of Mexico. Its main mission is to monitor and analyze sea level variations along Mexico’s coasts. The service operates a network of tide gauge stations located in ports along the Pacific Ocean, the Gulf of Mexico, and the Caribbean Sea. These instruments continuously record sea level changes caused by tides, storms, hurricanes, tsunamis, and long-term climate processes. The collected data support research in oceanography and geophysics and contribute to coastal risk monitoring and early warning systems. In addition, the program processes and shares sea level data with researchers, institutions, and the public, providing valuable information
