A thriving ecosystem for the blue bioeconomy

Launched in 2019 by the Pays de Morlaix Territorial and Rural Development Authority, Blue Valley® is dedicated to advancing the blue bioeconomy in Brittany, with a particular focus on marine biotechnology—one of the region's most promising industries.

Working alongside the three local intermunicipal authorities, Technopôle Brest-Iroise, the Roscoff Biological Station, and a broad network of regional and European partners, Blue Valley® brings together research, industry and entrepreneurship to create an environment where innovation can thrive.

Beyond supporting local economic development, Blue Valley® contributes to a wider regional and international network through its close links with the Campus mondial de la Mer, helping position Brittany as a leading hub for marine innovation.

Since 2019, Blue Valley® has supported more than 40 innovative projects, helped establish 10 startups, organised nearly 40 events, welcomed international delegations and contributed to strategic initiatives supporting the future of marine biotechnology and sustainable aquaculture.

Together, these achievements reflect our ambition to make Northwest Brittany a recognised destination for marine innovation and entrepreneurship.
