      • Biennial General Meeting of the Members of the World Sea Campus: Highlights Recap

      • The World Sea Campus brought together over 80 participants for its biennial general meeting, hosted this year by ENSTA Bretagne. The session opened with a welcome address by Raymond Levet, followed by Michel Gourtay, President of Technopôle Brest-Iroise, and Olivier David, Vice-President for Student Life, Higher Education and Research of the Brittany Region, who presented the regional vision and priorities to support the Campus’s strategy.

      • The main directions of the 2025–2030 Strategy were presented, followed by a roundtable with the Board members on collective prospects, highlighting the importance of collaboration between members and partners.

        The assembly is an opportunity to showcase the community’s flagship projects:

        Ocean Hackathon® was presented with pitches from the winners of the International Grand Finale, along with a talk by Édouard Vallet, the 2023 international winner and founder of Vaiata.

        The Research Infrastructures Portal, a key tool for visibility and collaboration among stakeholders, and the IMMERSION Meetings, which allow hands-on exploration of infrastructures, were presented. This segment was illustrated by a talk from Mélusine Gaillard, Communications Officer at France Énergies Marines, who hosted the final meeting of the year.

        A progress update on Sea Tech Week® highlighted the momentum around the 2024 edition and shared the first insights for 2026, including a new booth offering [URL link to the dedicated webpage provided by Daphnée].

        In the keynote, Fabrice Messal from Mercator Ocean International presented his organization, its tools and initiatives, and the prospects related to the development of the Ocean Digital Twin. He demonstrated how these digital systems contribute to modeling, governance, and sustainable management of the oceans at a global scale, in connection with the Campus’s local initiatives.

        The session concluded with a presentation of the key highlights for 2026, followed by closing remarks from Michel Gourtay, and ended with a friendly gathering over a lunch cocktail.
