Like the Campus mondial de la mer, the South Coast Marine Cluster is a group of academic and economic actors in marine science and technology. Located in the southwest of the United Kingdom, the South Coast Marine Cluster has been in contact with the Campus since 2017 and the European Maritime Days held in Poole.
Since then, two exploratory missions have taken place, the first during Marine Tech Expo 2018, organised in Plymouth with the participation of Brest métropole, Technopôle Brest-Iroise, Pôle Mer Bretagne Atlantique and Crédit Agricole Filière Mer; the second during Sea Tech Week 2018, during which the South Coast Marine Cluster coordinator was received.
On December 11 and 12, during the Campus Assembly, 4 delegates from the South Coast Marine Cluster will visit several actors in the Campus community.
Sheldon Ryan, Coordinator of the South Coast Marine Cluster
Martin Sutcliffe, FEAMP facilitator Dorset, Devon
Simon Cheeseman, wave and tidal manager at ORE Catapult
Sebastian Mynott, CEO of Applied Genomics
It should be noted that a collective mission is planned to Plymouth for the next edition of Marine Tech Expo from June 30 to July 3, 2020.
