Its research and development activities cover several areas, including abalone restocking, pathology, nutrition, genetic selection, adaptation to climate change and ocean acidification, as well as systems combining abalone farming and seaweed cultivation.
Founded and managed by scientist Sylvain Huchette, France Haliotis brings scientific expertise directly into aquaculture practices. Its facilities enable research projects and experiments to be carried out in real-world conditions, helping translate laboratory knowledge into practical applications.
The company is also exploring new approaches combining abalone and seaweed cultivation, linking different marine activities within the same production system.
