SAVE THE DATE | 2027 Ocean Decade Conference to take place on 7-9 April 2027 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Co-organized by the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO, Brazil’s Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, and the City of Rio de Janeiro, this global event will bring together around 2,000 participants – including scientists, policymakers, civil society, private sector, and Indigenous leaders – to review progress since Barcelona 2024 and chart the path toward 2030 and beyond.
A pre-conference programme (April 5–6) will feature partner-led side events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities across Rio.
