Signing of a collaboration agreement with the South Coast Marine Cluster
- In contact since 2017 and the European Maritime Days held in Poole (United Kingdom), the South Coast Marine Cluster and the Campus mondial de la mer have formalized their intention to collaborate more closely on the occasion of the second Campus Assembly on 12 December 2019.
In the margins of the Assembly, the South Coast Marine Cluster delegation composed of Sébastien Mynott (Applied Genomics), Simon Cheeseman (ORE Catapult) and Sheldon Ryan (South Coast Marine Cluster) also benefited from numerous meetings with the territory's stakeholders.
This agreement thus aims to structure the relations between the South Coast Marine Cluster and the Campus mondial de la mer around 3 components:
- The organization of collective missions and the exchange of visibility around the flagship events of our two territories: Marine Tech Expo (June 30 to July 3, 2020, Plymouth) and Sea Tech Week® (October 12 to 16, 2020, Brest);
- The implementation of cross soft-landing offers for SMEs in order to test the French or British markets for a few days;
- The organisation of Ocean Hackathon® in Plymouth from October 2020.
