The winners from each of the eight cities presented their projects during the 2nd Assembly of the Campus mondial de la mer. The 5 min-pitches of Brest, Champs-sur-Marne, Cherbourg, Dinan, La Rochelle, México, Sète and Toulon have dynamically framed the round-table sessions organised during the morning.

The Ocean Hackathon® Ambassadors have rewarded Dinan and Brest, the 2nd and the 3rd, respectively. But it is Sigi Gruber, Chief of the Marnine Resources Unit, DG RTD, European Commission, who unexpectedly offered the first prize to México.
México - "Sargassum Busters" - algorithm ofr sargassum teledetection
Contribution from the European Commission: invitation for one member of the team to attend the All-Atlantic Ocean Research Forum (6-7 February in Brussels) and also pitch the project and share with a very wide international audience.
Dinan - "Marée vous" - an application for sustainable fishing on foot. The project consisted in creating a first moke-up of a future application dedicated to responsible fishing.
An all-inclusive geteway to the Brest maritime festivities in July 2020 (including the harbour tour and a dinner on board on old sailboat)
Brest - "Smaug" - make the nautical chart accessible and attractive to a wide audience: all ages, all disabilities and all goals

Thus ends this new adventure of Ocean Hackathon®, which will begin again in 2020 for the 5th edition!
