- On December 15th from 10am to 2.30pm, Brest time, the 14 winning teams of the local editions of Ocean Hackathon® 2021 pitched their project in presence at Océanopolis or remotely. And the three 2021 winners are...
3rd - BLUE CARBON from SAN FRANCISCO (USA)
They pitched online and certainly in the middle of the night. Their project aims at mapping of regional/global distributions of blue carbon resources, especially from mangroves, marshes, and seagrasses. Congratulations!
2nd - SMART SHIPPING from SAN FERNANDO - CADIZ (Spain)
They were in Brest for few days. They discovered the city, visit Océanopolis, but the most important, they pitched their project dedicated to a weather routing system for maritime transport. We will certainly see this team again at Sea Tech Week® in September 2022. Congratulations!
1st - SARGOWAZE from FORT-DE-FRANCE (France)
They came from the other side of the Atlantic to pitch in 5' their project about the determination of the quantity of stranded Sargassum and their dynamics in Martinique. Congratulations!
We thank the jury of the Grand Finale, which included both representatives of the Ocean Hackathon® Ambassadors and the local advisers. We also thank the Ambassadors, who reward the 3 winning team by offering money for IT devices and/or maritime activities.
