The challenge consists in the development of a software, an application and a series of control cameras which will allow the use of drones in the surveillance and control of ichthyophagous birds with a potential negative incidence in the traditional fish and salt marshes, dedicated to aquaculture production.
The system should learn and discriminate cormorant (or any other specified type of bird) from other species that are harmless. Once identified within its action area, the drone will have to get underway and chase them with its flight, sound emission, etc.
Finally, the idea is to develop a passive but effective system for the control of ichthyophagous birds in aquaculture sites.
