      • BRE16 - Using sea data and biomimetism to define the design of a maritime drone for environmental missions

          • The goal of this challenge is to use maritime data such as winds, sea conditions and currents, to design a maritime drone/robot with the abilities to fly above the surface and land on the surface during environmental preservation missions and in harsh maritime conditions. If possible, biomimetism techniques (sea wildlife) will help to define this design.

            This drone/robot will be a "protector of the Oceans", with the following objectives:

            • spot and identify waste and marine pollution
            • assist in emergency response in the event of environmental damage
            • access dangerous areas in support of these interventions
            • sample pollution
            • mark out an area and avoid accidents
            • transmit a video stream, photos to the intervening authorities
            • support for research studies
